Introduction to Fire Sprinkler Systems and NFPA 13E

This four-hour course provides attendees with information on the fundamentals of fire sprinklers and standpipe systems and guides attendees through an often-overlooked document entitled “NFPA 13E: Recommended Practice for Fire Department Operations in Properties Protected by Sprinkler and Standpipe Systems”.

This program strives to ensure department personnel are trained in proper firefighting techniques for buildings with activated sprinkler systems. Success depends on multiple factors, such as the type of system and the reason for activation.

Fire department officers, fire fighters, company officers, fire department instructors will benefit from procedures that are designed to assist in developing training programs and planning effective operations. Recommended practices are given for the adequate support and use of sprinkler and standpipe systems.
